'Fifty Shades of Grey' Reveals Who Will Play Christian and Anastasia

Fifty Shades of Grey author E. L. James used Twitter on Monday to announce who will play the film adaptation's lead roles. Ending months of rumors, James revealed Dakota Johnson will take on Anastasia Steele and Charlie Hunnam will be young billionaire Christian Grey.

Hunnam, most recently starring in science-fiction flick Pacific Rim, is likely most known for potraying protagonist Jax Teller in the TV series Sons of Anarchy. The 33-year-old also had roles in Children of Men, Green Street Hooligans, Queer as Folk and Undeclared.

Miranda Kerr is the Muse of Mango for Second Season in a Row

Miranda Kerr will once again be the model for Mango as she returns for their fall 2013 campaign. In her second season as the face of the Spanish fashion line, Kerr is looking just a little grunge in a plaid shirt and ripped up jeans styled by Géraldine Saglio. After shooting Kerr’s first campaign, photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin returned for the new fall photoshoot. “I loved that Inez and Vinoodh kept the look of the campaign very raw and natural and I think it complements the collection very well. They did a fantastic job, as always!” Kerr told Grazia.

Who remembers 'dodo' the kid from outter space.

DoDo, The Kid from Outer Space was an animated cartoon series that was syndicated to television from 1965-1970. DoDo was a young extraterrestrial from the planet Hena Hydro, who came to Earth in his flying saucer and had numerous adventures. 

Other cast members included Professor Fingers, an eccentric scientist who somewhat resembled the later Professor Utonium; Compy, DoDo's computer/duck hybrid pet; and Why and How, two Earth children. The characters speak in rhymes, either independently or playing off each other.

"DoDo" was created by Lady Stearn Robinson and produced by British animators Halas and Batchelor. A total of 78 five-minute episodes were filmed.

The Simpsons to Appear on 'Family Guy' Episode in 2014

Fans of Fox shows "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy" are in for a very special treat: A crossover edition is coming soon.

According to a Variety report, the two series will be teaming up for one episode that will include the Griffin clan visiting Springfield, the hometown of the Simpsons. Although we don't know the date just yet, it's said to be in the works for fall 2014.

What a difference a year makes. Last year this time, Macklemore was a little known underground rapper from Seattle. Now, he has the best selling single in 2013 (“Thrift Shop”) and is up for an award show leading six MTV Video Music awards. Other MCs in the mix to take home the coveted Moon Man include, Drake and Kendrick Lamar, who have both been nominated for two awards. A$AP Rocky, Snoop Lion, J. Cole, Pitbull and newcomer Iggy Azalea are all up for one award each. The award show takes place Sunday, August 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

J. Cole Shoots Video For New Single “Crooked Smile”

Over the weekend, J. Cole hit NYC to whip up the visuals to his premiere Born Sinner single, “Crooked Smile”. Linking up with director Aristotle, the pair is set to film the highly anticipated clip releasing soon.

Hip Hop Album Sales: The Week Ending 7/7/2013

It may have taken three weeks, but rapper J.Cole finally got his number one spot for his sophomore album, “Born Sinner”. He beat out Kanye’s “Yeezus” and Mac Miller’s “Watching Movies With The Sound Off”, which were all released June 18th.
Wale held down the number 2 spot with his album “The Gifted”, which sold approximately 58,000 in it’s second week.

In other chart news, while Jay-Z’s “Magna Carta Holy Grail” didn’t land on the charts this week do to the tracking methods of Nielsen,  his “The Black Album”  re entered the Top 200 almost a decade after being released. This can be attributed to the rapper’s name being literally everywhere in the media 
lately .

A rare apple 1 computer - among the first ever produced by steve jobs and steve wozniak's one -time tech startup - has been sold at an auction for nearly $400,000.

The piece of computing history, hand-built in the garage of job's parents way back in 1976, went for $387, 750 in an online christie's auction. The device was reportedely sold by a retired school psychologist from california, and bought by an italian collectors club.

50 cent clears air on abusive messages to son.

Rapper 50 Cent has stepped forward to clear the air on leaked text messages directed at the MC’s son. Apparently the texts were, in fact, from Fifty, but his son’s mother was texting him back acting like their son.
